Foyer House | Vizag, India
An inlay of bass and deep wood borders runs throughout this modest apartment, located in the city of Vizag in India. As you enter the house, you are greeted by an arched timber opening with patterned brass inlay flooring matched to the timber ceiling above the dining area, this flows into the living area which in turn transitions through an arched opening into the dining and kitchen. The main objective of the project was to create spaces in which light can filter through. We were able to achieve this by creating a relaxing flow throughout the main living areas by reconfiguring the existing plan and refining the material palette to be light in nature.
